For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

John 5:46

Students of the Scriptures

Scribes and Pharisees

They never understood You

They never trusted Thee

They were carpingly critical

and mainly antagonistic

Professed to be religious

righteous, powerful, mystic…

They boasted of their knowledge

They thought You were a lie

You are in the Old Testament

from Genesis to Malachi

Had they searched to any profit

they would surely have found You

If they believed in Moses

they should have seen the truth

Pentateuch serves to see

revelations of Christ

Your face can be detected

in 5 books if there´s light

Fifteen hundred years after

You were born in that poor manger

it was all just about You…

They treated You as a stranger

A voice out of the bush

It was Your voice, Oh Lord!

“He wrote of me”, You said

Moses referred to God

In the beginning…You…

Then You said, “It is good”

You came to crush the serpent´s head

To feed spiritual food

When You read of Passover

You knew You were the Lamb

and that on that same date

You would be crucified

When You read of the rock

that when smitted poured  water

You knew  You would be smitten

for salvation to others

When You read of the veil,

mercy seat and atonement

You knew You were the sacrifice

You accepted that moment

When You read of fiery serpents

You knew  it would be You

lifted up upon a cross

to save Your people too

Moses himself was a type

and God to him had announced

He would raise another prophet

that would speak of His command

May we never reject You

Since if we refuse to accept

God will require  it from us

May we never be in debt!

May we see Your face, oh Lord!

May we forever now be!

A new light has come to us

May we always worship Thee!
